My skates were delivered today, so I stopped by Play It Again Sports after work to pick them up. They are now baked and ready to go with some fresh waxed laces. I also picked up a pair of Super Feet footbeds, and a pair of Elite Hockey Pro-X700 socks.
My next step is to go to an open skate this weekend to find out just how much my skating skills have deteriorated. Next week, I'll start taking classes.
By the way, if you're in San Diego and in need of hockey gear, I recommend Play It Again Sports in Mira Mesa. Ask for the owner, Chris. He's a wealth of information. He also seems to truly love the game and wants to see his customers get gear that will work for them.
